Exploded View

You Are Here You Are Here is an original piece of performance art composed by Exploded View and performed for a packed house at The Great Falls Discovery Center in Turners Falls, Massachusetts on January 12, 2020.  The performance was held in conjunction with the opening reception of an art show, organized and juried by Exploded View, drawing on related themes. That gallery show, You Are Here: Explorations in Personal Cartography , featured the work of dozens of artists . What is this all about? A group of artists, women, awake from a nightmare to find themselves adrift on the rising seas brought by climate change, the din of the Trump presidency still ringing in their ears.  Where are they going? Where have they come from?  What do they make of this? You can watch the performance here . This work was part of a two month residency at The Great Falls Discovery Center, spanning January and February 2020.  The residency drew to a close just as the COVID-19 pandemic was forcing lockdowns
